8mm to DVD
Three different types of 8mm tapes were released that all look identical to each other. The first one was the 8mm tape or video8, followed by the Hi8, and finally the Digital8. Many manufacturers had the sense to make their products backwards compatible with older versions of the tapes. So if you had several original 8mm tapes, you’d be able to play them on your Hi8 or Digital8 camera. However, you wouldn’t be able to play your Hi8 or Digital8 tapes on your old everyday 8mm camcorder.

Once Happy Ireland Productions receives your order, we go through the necessary quality checks and inspection then begin digitising your memories into DVD or a digital file. You’ll receive your original media with your digital copies at the respective outlet you dropped it in or straight to your door.

We ask for 7-10 business days for all transfer services upon receiving your media. However, we may need additional time to process your order due to the order size, promotions or public holidays.

Nope, we charge each tape individually regardless of content time. So one tape could be 30 mins long and another 8 hours long but you’ll be charged accordingly!
